With over two decades of experience in Women’s Health, Dr. Lisa Ohman Erhard knew there needed to be a change. Some of the treatment methods were becoming antiquated. Mainstream medicine was ignoring some of the incredible advancements and treatment therapies coming onto the market to enhance women’s lives. Women were being told time and time again to simply suffer with their symptoms after childbirth and menopause, and that their concerns were simply “normal.”
Female patients were losing their voice in the clinic and, in turn, were becoming more reticent and intimidated to talk about intimate concerns such as painful sex, vaginal dryness or the appearance of their labia after childbirth. Seeing the injustice in this, Dr. Lisa chose to become a pioneer and ambassador for women and started Wayzata Cosmetic Surgery & Spa.

Why did Dr. Lisa forgo a more traditional route in medicine to open Wayzata Cosmetic Surgery & Spa? As a result, Dr. Lisa engineered the approach and treatment philosophy of Wayzata Cosmetic Surgery & Spa to be unlike any other clinic in Minnesota. Every facet of a woman’s health is taken into consideration when she comes under Dr. Lisa’s care. From the levels of her hormones, to her work/life stress level, her mental/social health and her overall physical well-being. Dr. Lisa believes that internal health manifests externally and that how we FEEL on the inside directly correlates with the beauty and confidence we exude on the outside.
Dr. Lisa has chosen to offer some of the most innovative and advanced treatment therapies to address her female patient’s most intimate concerns. She is the ONLY female OB/GYN to offer BOTH MonaLisa Touch AND ThermiVA in the tristate area. As these non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation laser work differently, she knew she wanted them both to be able to customize her treatments for her patients and get them the best results possible. In turn, Dr. Lisa has rapidly risen to become an Area Expert in non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation and surgical labiplasty. She is constantly looking for new treatment therapies and techniques to be able to offer her patients the best outcomes possible.
Seeing that the concerns of an entire population of women was being ignored, those who have gone through chemotherapy and/or used Tamoxifen, Dr. Lisa immediately researched technologies to restore the gynecological health of these women. After many cancer treatments, women experience excruciating vaginal dryness and thinning of the vaginal walls that can lead to tearing. These conditions can make sex incredibly painful and severely impact a woman’s intimate relationships. Dr. Lisa is proud to offer MonaLisa Touch, the only FDA-approved device to treat vaginal dryness and offer relief to these patients.
Wanting to offer women even more ways to feel healthy and beautiful, Dr. Lisa expanded her expertise and practice offerings to include cosmetic injectables, such as Botox and dermal fillers, laser treatments and the body contouring. She was one of the first physicians to introduce SculpSure Fat Treatments to the Metro and quickly became an area leader in this incredible, and FAST, fat reduction treatment. Paired with Wayzata Cosmetic’s HCG Weight Loss Program, this offered Dr. Lisa another unique way to get women feeling healthy and sexy again, quickly!
Having four children of her own, being a wife, a full-time physician AND a business owner, Dr. Lisa understands her patient’s struggles with life balance. Dr. Mark’s role at Wayzata Cosmetic Surgery & Spa offers a unique balance to how men and women are represented in our practice. It is not uncommon for couples to schedule their initial consultations together to discuss a loss of intimacy in their partnership. The health of our hormones, our bodies and of course, our minds can dramatically affect our relationship with our partner. Camie Thompson jumped head first into the field of medical esthetics after practicing another career for over 25 years. She wanted to reinvent herself and her life by following a life-long passion for skincare and skin health. As a result, she now combines her extensive background in customer service with her skill set as a Licensed Esthetician to deliver her patients safe, reliable results with the utmost attention to your care and your experience at Wayzata Cosmetic Surgery & Spa!
After seeing the remarkable changes her own skin went through after being recommended the appropriate treatments and product regimen, Camie wanted to pursue a skincare license to be able to share this knowledge with others. In 2010, Camie obtained her license in Esthetics from Empire Beauty and Aesthetics School in Minnesota. After relocating to Arizona, she advanced her credentials by attending the Arizona School of Laser for her Certified Laser Clinician training in laser skin, hair and body contouring treatments.

While in Arizona, Camie worked with one of the leading medical clinics in North Scottsdale. Her 5 years with this clinic provided extensive education and experience in all medical and laser skin treatments. Camie became exceptionally well versed in chemical peels, micro-needling collagen induction therapy, and creating customized skincare plans for patients with physician grade products. She gained a vast amount of experience with body contouring and fat reduction treatments such as SculpSure®, Exilis Skin Tightening and Vanquish!
Camie avidly pursues all educational opportunities she can in her field, as she realizes that the medical aesthetics industry is constantly changing. She considers it her responsibility to stay abreast of these changes so she can educate her patients about their options and be able to offer them the latest advancements!
