How PRP Works
When you have an injury to your soft tissue, your body naturally sends platelets to the area to start the wound healing process. PRP treatments direct platelets to key areas of your body you would like to improve, like cheekbones, tear troughs, your skin’s surface, vaginal rejuvenation, or your scalp. These platelets then release growth factors that increase the production of collagen, stimulate blood flow, and regenerate the site of injection.
PRP treatments begin by drawing your blood which is then spun down in a centrifuge to separate the Platelet-Rich Plasma. The PRP is then prepared to be used either via injection or topical application. Because it uses your own blood, there is no possibility of allergic reaction.
